Paul Signac

Signac studies in Paris. The landscape painter Armand Guillaumin introduces him to the Impressionist circle. In 1884, he strikes up a friendship with Georges Seurat. From 1886, he develops a theory of Neo-Impressionism. He is elected president of the Salon des Indépendants in 1908.
